VDF Flooring vs Tremix Flooring: What Is the Difference?
Understand the terminology and compare the written construction scope before selecting concrete flooring.

The terminology
VDF means Vacuum Dewatered Flooring. “Tremix” is widely used in the market to describe the same broad vacuum-dewatering method. Contractors and consultants may use the terms differently, so the BOQ and technical specification should define the required process.
What actually affects floor performance
Sub-base preparation, concrete grade and consistency, slab thickness, reinforcement, level control, dewatering, finishing, joints and curing all influence the completed floor. Selecting only by a per-square-foot rate can overlook these factors.
Which should you specify?
Instead of choosing between names, define the intended use, loads, traffic, required finish, flatness/level criteria and construction details. For large or high-tolerance floors, laser screed or other execution methods may also need evaluation.
